Nokia are on a roll with UMA handsets, like the E51 recently announced, the new Nokia 6301 is a dual-mode handset, meaning it will seamlessly roam from GSM to WLAN networks.

Offering a sleek stainless steel design, the Nokia 6301 phone will launch in the UK via Orange as part of its Unique portfolio, that offers users WLAN calls via a Livebox modem.

Currently only two handsets are available for the Unique service, so another option will strengthen the line up for Orange.

Weighing 93 grams and measuring less than 13.1mm, the Nokia 6301, as well as the UMA technology, also offers an MP3 player, microSD card slot, 2-megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom and full screen viewfinder.

Enhancing that home/office appeal, the Nokia 6301 comes with an desk stand to hold the phone and keep its battery charged while connected to WLAN.

The Nokia 6301 will be available in the fourth quarter of this year, expect more info to come from Orange nearer the time of launch in the UK.
