Owl wireless energy monitor watches your electricity consumption

Another meter to measure your wastefulness

This new consumer awareness in electrical consumption is obviously a money spinner.

Recently we've seen a few of these monitor devices that let you see your consumption launch in the UK.

The latest is the "Owl" wireless energy monitor. It works in the same way as the others by being clipped to the household's electricity supply cable.

It then transmits data to a portable wireless monitor that can be taken anywhere around the home.

The OWL monitors the home's electricity supply and - apparently for the first time - provides real-time monetary information about the household's energy usage.

The OWL's easy-to-read LCD monitor reveals how much electricity is being used, how the cost of electricity per hour changes, and how much harmful CO2 emissions the home is producing.

The OWL costs £49.99 and is available now to buy online at theowl.com.
