SanDisk has just announced it is launching a 64GB SD card for photographers and videographers keen to store everything on one memory card, while confirming its plans to eventually make cards up to 2TB in size.

In a move that brings its biggest memory storage format yet to market, the memory card company has created a card so big that you can store 8 hours of HD video on a single card.

But before you rush out to spend the £259.99 on the new offering, be warned the new card is based on the newly announced SDXC format - the follow on from SDHC, which itself follows on from SD, that means it will work with only a handful of devices available on the market.

Currently that handful includes the soon to be released Canon EOS 550D
