LG has launched a PC that supports both high-definition disc formats with an optical drive that can read both.

The LX97WH is compatible with DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray discs giving consumers a choice of next-gen formats on their PC.

The LX97WH also boasts Intel Core 2 Duo, ab Nvidia Geforce 8 series video card in an 8.9cm-slim PC case.

LG, although primarily seen to be a Blu-ray backer, has launched dual-format HD DVD/Blu-ray players for the home cinema market.

No pricing or availability information for this new PC offering at this point.
