Motorola Confirms lack of iTunes phone at CeBIT 2005

Motorola has confirmed that it will not be making an announcement about the iTunes phone at this year's CeBIT.

The phone which was tipped to make an appearance at the show in Hannover Germany has been left behind the curtain for another day. While the large Motorola stand at CeBIT did feature a number of Apple Mac's within an iTunes area a spokesman for the company said that this was to get people used to the idea of Apple and Motorola working together.

The phone was originally tipped to be shown at CES in Las Vegas at the beginning of the year and then again at GSM in Cannes last month. However so far nothing has been shown.

Rumours of the unveiling stepped up a pace at the beginning of the week with word that the phone had been shown to a selected few however if this is the case those selected few are keeping their lips sealed.

We will keep you posted.
