Nokia has announced the Nokia 6303i classic describing it as "a sophisticated and compact device".

Said to follow in the footprints of the Nokia 6303 classic, building on what Nokia calls the "proven formula that made Nokia the world leader in mobile phones" the candybar phone will launch in the first quarter of 2010.

With a 2.2-inch display, the stainless steel 6303i gets a 3.2-megapixel camera, email and IM through Nokia Messaging and what's said to be great battery life. It's not clear at this stage what improvements it offers over the 6303 classic, as the spec list appears similar.

The phone will see an estimated retail price of 105 euros.
