Nikon has launched what it says is the world's slimmest wide angle 10x zoom camera, the Coolpix S8000.
Measuring in at 27.3mm thin, the S8000 offers 14.2 megapixels, a fast start-up time and what Nikon claims is a DSLR class AF system.
With a 3-inch LCD display, it also boasts a dedicated video button for recording 720p movies with stereo sound at 30 frames per second.
Other features include an "advanced" flash control system, in-camera image adjusting and lens-shift "Vibration Reduction".
The Coolpix S8000 will be available in black, brown and champagne silver with an aluminium finish with a rubber coating for £249.99 in mid-Feb.
