Separated at birth: Apple iBook Store and Delicious Library

Think you've seen Apple's new iBook store before, if you use an Apple Mac, chances are you already have.

That's because Apple's latest software store user interface looks virtually identical to a piece of software launched over 6 years ago called Delicious Library.

Launched in 2004, Delicious Library lets you catalogue and store your music, DVD and games collection on your Mac on a wooden bookshelf showing the covers for you to quickly see.

While the software offers considerably more, like the ability to scan in the product by showing your webcam the barcode, we just can't help feel that someone in Apple's design department liked the software a little too much.

We've reached out to the company behind the software to get their take on Apple's latest venture.
