If you haven't already, now is possibly the time to think about re-homing any unwanted Christmas gifts, rather than just hiding them away in a cupboard to be disposed of a couple of years down the line.

The reason you may want to think about it now is that second hand website Preloved has teamed up with Emmaus - a charity which uses uses money from the sale of donated furniture to help the homeless - to launch a "Second Hand – Second Chance" campaign.

The upshot of this is that up to the 15 January, Preloved will be donating £1 to Emmaus for every person that places one or more adverts from the following page:


This means you could make a contribution to helping the homeless - especially relevant at this cold time of year.

Although you'll have to be quick - as mentioned closing date is this Friday, placing items on the site is pretty straightforward and it's free.
