Sonim launches XP3.2 Quest Pro mobile
Sonim has just released details of a new addition to its XP series of tough phones, at CES in Las Vegas, which is due to be launched into the American market.
Called the Sonim XP3.2 Quest Pro, the phone appears to improve on many of its predecessors' selling points - making this as rugged as they come and giving you the opportunity to think of new ways to abuse it.
The new device gets an IP67 rating, which in a nutshell gives an indication of all-round durability.
Battery life boasts are up to 18 hours talk or 1500 hours standby, it's apparently impervious to particles thanks to its non-porous casing and it can withstand drops of 2 metres and a dunking of 30 minutes in 1 metre of water. All in all one tough muther.
Features include a 2-megapixel camera with built-in flash, A-GPS, torch, 2GB memory slot and 3-year unconditional guarantee which rounds off the hard-core package.
It starts shipping in the US immediately and can be used on AT&T and T-Mobile networks, priced at $499 unlocked.
