Activision has announced further details of its upcoming title "True Crime", describing it as an "all-new open-world game inspired by classic Hollywood and Asian cinema style action thrillers".

The basic premise is that you play detective Wei Shen who infiltrates a Triad crime syndicate. Thankfully the character lacks any traits of subtlety or skills of diplomacy, meaning there should be plenty of guns, fighting and explosions to keep us entertained - see trailer above for a glimpse of what we can expect.

The title, which was revealed on 12 December at the Spike TV video game awards, is slated for release in autumn 2010 and has been built from the ground up by developer United Front Games - the previous developer of the series being Luxoflux, who brought us "Streets of LA" and "True Crime: New York City".

When it finally arrives, the game will be available for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and we'll be sure to bring you more nearer the time. For more details, pre-ordering and registration you can follow this link.
