Food Network comes to Freesat

Freesat is getting a new television channel - the Food Network. A near-clone of the channel of the same name on US TV, the focus will be on - you guessed it - cooking.

The channel arrives today, so if you tap in 405 on your remote control, and you have Freesat, then odds are that you'll suddenly find yourself watching Iron Chef America, Chopped, Food Network Challenge, Nigella Express, Barefoot Contessa, 30 Minute Meals, Rescue Chef or one of the other programmes available.

Oh, and if you miss something, there's a +1 version of the channel on 406, too. So no more frantically guessing whether Jamie Oliver said to roast something for 5 minutes or 45 minutes.

Freesat, in case you're unaware, is the subscription-free, HD-enabled service that you can sign up for if you have a satellite dish on your house. You can find out more on the Freesat website.
