Batman: Arkham Asylum sequel announced

Arkham has moved, apparently. So says arkhamhasmoved.com, the homepage for the sequel to one of 2009's best-loved games, and Pocket-lint Awards nominee, Batman: Arkham Asylum.

There's very little to go on so far, other than the trailer embedded above, which shows what appears to be a much bigger Arkham Asylum, looting and rioting in the streets, a funfair theme and the familiar sight of Harley Quinn and the Joker laughing evilly.

It'll be developed by Rocksteady Studios, who built the first game. Sefton Hill, Rocksteady's game director, told Pocket-lint: "Getting the opportunity to create Batman: Arkham Asylum and seeing its success has been a dream come true for the team. We are honoured to create the next chapter in this compelling story and promise to deliver another game worthy of the Dark Knight".

As we hear more, we'll keep you informed, but you can also apparently sign up for updates at ArkhamHasMoved.com.
