VIDEO: Varnum Q3 is poor man's Wii

If you can't afford the £170 for a Nintendo Wii this Christmas, then the Varnum Q3 is a budget alternative available now for £89.99.

As demoed in the video above, the Varnum Q3 uses 3D motion sensor technology for interactive gaming.

The system consists of a console and a 2.4Ghz wireless remote control and comes preloaded with 40 games, 10 of which are interactive games that use motion control, such as the tennis game shown in the vid.

The remote offers a built-in speaker and rumble while the console connects to the TV using a standard AV cable and can either be mains or battery powered.

The Q3 is available from now from Amazon for £89.99.
