"Intelligence and versatility converge on a device so advanced it creates a richer, deeper experience..." Zzzzzzz...

It seems it must have been Verizon behind those kick-ass Droid ads in the States that saw the new Motorola handset blowing up chunks of the Earth from a Stealth bomber and taking the Michael - repeatedly - out of the iPhone.

The English ad for the Milestone (as the Droid is known in Europe) has been revealed and it's hardly one to go down in the history books of inventive phone marketing with a staid, simulated view of the handset accompanied by a voice droning on about its feature set.

You could hit play on the video above to see the whole clip, but if we were you, we'd spend the time re-visiting the big budget, all-action "Stealth" ad or even the iPhone-baiting "beauty queen" Droid ads instead.

The Motorola Milestone has just gone on sale in the UK, available from eXpansys, who reports "they are moving fast".
