Logitech has announced the Logitech Cordless Vantage Headset and Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro for PlayStation 3.The new headset will let gamers can chat wirelessly – both in-game or during voice chat sessions. Providing "Bluetooth freedom" the Headset features native PS3 support.
The large-diameter audio drivers and advanced noise-filtering circuitry claim to deliver premium audio and excellent sound playback. The headset also features an adjustable noise canceling microphone to reduce unwanted background noise.
An ambidextrous behind-the-head design means it can be worn either the right or left ear and Logitech state it is lightweight and comfortable for long periods of gameplay - its rechargable battery will go for up to 12 hours.
The Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro Bluetooth Keyboard is also designed specifically for use with the PS3 - the keyboard features a dedicated Menu button that takes people directly to the PLAYSTATION Network Help menu.
The keyboard makes navigating the PLAYSTATION Network easier with its dedicated PS3 action buttons (circle, square, X and triangle).
Media keys are included for web browsing and a built-in touch pad – featuring vertical scrolling and left- and right-click buttons – eliminates the need for a mouse.
The Bluetooth technology means gamers can use the MediaBoard Pro up to 30 feet away from the PS3 and two AA batteries provide more than 200 hours of battery life.
The Logitech Cordless Vantage Headset is expected to be available in the US in November and in Europe beginning in December for $79.99, while the Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro Bluetooth Keyboard is expected to be available in October in the US and Europe for the same price.
