Fring has rolled out an update to its mobile phone application that allows users to conduct video calls over the mobile web. Fring video enables you to use both Wi-Fi and 3G to make calls to other Fring users or to your Skype or GTalk contacts.
Fring is an IM aggregator that connects up with IM networks like MSN, AIM, GoogleTalk and Skype, as well as social networks like Twitter, Facebook, and Last.fm. You can make voice calls over the service, using apps on Symbian, Android and iPhone handsets, and now video calls too.
However, for the moment the video functionality is limited to a small subset of Nokia devices - the N97 mini, N97, 5800, N95 8G, N95 and N82. Fring promises that the functionality will be rolled out across a number of other platforms "very shortly".
