Altec Lansing has unveiled a range of ultra-portable Bluetooth and corded speaker systems that they say are designed to deliver clear, rich audio directly from MP3 enabled mobile phones, iPods, laptops and other portable digital devices.The iMT521 SoundBlade Stereo Bluetooth Speaker is now the flagship product in the inMotion portfolio, a modern "sound panel", it features dual 2-inch full-range high output speakers and full stereo Bluetooth v.2 for wireless connectivity with most A2DP stereo Bluetooth mobile phones and laptops.
The SoundBlade is equipped with AVRCP for two-way remote volume, mute and track forward/back controls from a mobile phone. The speaker system also has a built-in echo-canceling microphone so it can also be used as a wireless speakerphone. It can run on both AC and battery power, $129.95.
The iMT207 Orbit-M and iM207 Orbit-MP3 offer palm-sized portability - but, Altec Lansing promises - surprisingly loud, rich sound in all directions.
The Orbit projects a 360-degree sound field. Adding to the ultra-portable credentials, the Orbit is shock resistant and uses AAA batteries for up to 24 hours continuous play time.
Designed to play music from your iPod, MP3 or with 2.5mm and 3.5mm adapters, your mobile phone, the Altec Lansing iMT207 Orbit-M and iM207 Orbit-MP3 will both be $39.95.
The FX3020 SoundBar Speaker System has been designed especially for flat-panel PCs. A simple, single speaker solution, this is meant to be placed in the unused area beneath flat panel monitors.
It features precision-angled drivers, built-in sfx sound-widening technology and XdB technology enhances bass performance. The FX3020 SoundBar will be $99.95.
