Firebox go retro with mobile phone handsets

7 March 2005 16:18 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Firebox in the UK is planning to sell the ultimate handset for your mobile phone. Details are sketchy at the moment, but the online retailer is hoping to sell a mobile phone handset called the Phobile and be similar to the new batch of Pokia handsets due in the next couple of weeks.

The handset is a quirky mobile phone accessory in the shape of a retro handset, which plugs into your mobile.

Currently the retro handsets have cost around £150, but a new batch costing £35 should make it more accessible to most of us looking for a bit of fun.

In the meantime check out some of the designs on the Pokia website - http://www.pokia.com
