  • Hey congrats on being the first to get your hand on this! Hope it comes to Sprint. Also, is there a rule somewhere that says all Capacitive touchscreens have to have a black border? Lame Posted by Adam, United States
  • Wow, that looks sweeeeeet.. Even in the Hulks Hands (See last pic) Posted by paddyman, Canada/Ireland
  • Ha! You wouldn't like me when I'm angry. Posted by chrishall, United Kingdom
  • Why couldn't it have a slideout keyboard? Posted by Techni, Canada
  • So if it takes a SIM as the article says that means it's either T-Mobile or AT&T. Here's hoping for AT&T... right. This will probably go to T-Mo. Posted by Ryan, USA
  • No front camera? Posted by Jeff, USA
  • What, no hyperspace drive? Worthless... LOL. Posted by Joe, USA
  • Techni - I'm guessing it doesn't have a slide-out keyboard because Acer haven't put any focus into QWERTY devices in their fledgling smartphone range.

Jeff - does anyone use front cameras? I'm guessing they didn't include it because on the whole they don't get used.

  • I use my front camera from time to time. I don't use it all the time, but it's useful for mainly two things.

    1. When someone far off needs help with something and visuals are the best help. (e.g. like when the wife wants you to but something of a certain brand somewhere and she has no idea what it's called, showing her the shelf, saves lots of talk time.
Another one is when someone needs technical help but you have a hard time explaining where the button is, a video call saves lots of time).
    2. When you really want to see someone live. (e.g. your kids when you're stuck late at work and you know you'll get home after they go to sleep.).

After owning my first video call enabled device, I will never buy one without it. It's a MUST HAVE on a smart phone.

  • Sorry, a little typo there... "like when the wife wants you to BUY something..." Posted by The HULK, usa
  • Looks like Clove U.K. will have the A1 unlocked by the end of November and by the listing on their site it will be 850/1900/2100 tri-band HSDPA.
This may be my Christmas present.

  • clove uk and handtec have it now unlocked, so for any sim at all, only with white border accessible for europe but america has white, black and the red one above for around 550 dollars :) Posted by Slevin, UK
  • Does anyone have this phone working on a US Carrier right now? If so, what carrier? Do all the functions of the phone work in the US such as 3G? Just wondering before I buy. Thanks! Posted by sh0gun71, United States
