  • As an orange customer, who is due an upgrade in November, I'm a little lost as to what to do. I want an iphone, and if Orange get them before november, great... although reception isnt great and therefore the iphone could be fairly useless. What it needs is a merge with tmobile. NOW. I'm not inclined to stay with orange, have rubbish signal for 18 months, and then, after the merger have.... well, who knows what kind of service. And, I'll be mid-contract, so pretty stuck with any changes they make that are less than satisfactory. Sorry Orange, I'm off to 02 until you and tmobile have sorted your acts out. Posted by Laura, UK
  • The iPhone is now released in the UK on Orange? you would be silly to move to O2 where, if your Orange signal is poor, your O2 will almost certainly be poorer! as mentioned even in this article - it is well known that O2 have the poorest 3G signal in the country (eg for the most out of your iphone).

I am on T Mobile which seem to be the best signal in my little middle-of-nowhere village, I get full signal on a standard network and expect 3G shouldnt be far around the corner...

I was in the Orange-iphone dilemma last week (early Nov 09) and after reading this article am very glad I have stayed with T Mobile and opted for the Satio.

If Orange are to have signal sharing with Vodafone, my mates have said their 3g signal is brilliant lately on Vodafone... which is promising (as it used to be dire!).

Hehehe anyway, hope you made the right decision! your Orange signal could all change when *Earl Grey* depletes your signal lacking issue! Someone who works for Orange believes it all starts rolling out early 2010...
