• Biggest reason to buy an Apple iPad, flat touch screen device.
  
  The key is it sits flat on your desk at work, in a public place, wherever and people can't see what your looking at. People are always looking at what other people are doing and it gets irritating.
  
  That function will separate it from netbooks, desktops, macbooks, you name it as everyone can see the screen.
  
  Only down side for Apple Computer is if they don't launch such a device soon or at least announce someone else will make a device like it and people won't wait for Apple to announce.
  
  Like many if touchpad type netbooks with just the screen come out by Christmas and Apple does not have one in the making. I won't wait any longer.

• iPad would be a pathetically bad name. Sounds just like iPod. They reallty have to go with the iTablet. They will create a whole new market segment with that name and own the category. Posted by Josh Thomas Taylor, USA
• If it looks like a big iPhone not only will that look stupid carrying it about, but people seen carrying it about will be saying to muggers, come hit me over the head and steal my stuff. This apart from the design being taken from a boring looking phone that is so the-year-before-last-before-last-before-last (lost the will to type enough before lasts!) I can't quite get my head around why you would want a huge ebook reader, when you can easily get an ebook reader for your phone, for free, no need for new hardware!
