  • Um... CD's are digital music. Posted by Bob, UK
  • Quite so Bob, have amended opening line. Posted by elliott, United Kingdom
  • Wonder what % actually follow through on 'prefer' by actually buying, compared with downloads.... Posted by Michael, UK
  • Being over 40+ having grown up with CD's I still prefer and continue to purchase CD's as the preferred choice. However, 90% of my listening is done on the move, so digital downloads is fine for me providing the bit rate is at least 192. I still think the majority consumers will continue to persist with illegal downloads and if they like a band a lot they may consider purchasing a legal copy of the same album via legal downloads like iTunes et all and/or purchase the CD as the last resort.

When I do buy CD's I often choose eBay or the partners from Amazon/Play. I rarely purchase CD's from HMV as the prices are a complete rip-off
