  LIKE I WAS GOING TO SAY:
  Its 12.20 in Pt. Willunga, Adelaide SA and there's no update BUT I think the problem might be because I am trying to use iTunes 8.0 to update the iPhone, where as the 3.0 update is only supported on iTunes 8.2. If it's not working, try updating iTunes **first** :) I'll try it and see what happens. Hope this helps! Posted by Chrisso, Australia

• Wait until Midnight I bet, I've been reading allot about it today, The update should arrive in Aussie at 12am the 18th. Has its states on the AU version of the sight.

• Sorry Sean I was referring to Elvio's prediction of 5pm in the uk which is about 1.30 in SA so 30 minutes away. Seriously we aussies need the same time zone ey? :)
  But if its around 8.30ish in cali it should be out now, so im wondering if maybe server problems or something are to blame?

• I dunno... I'd say anywhere from 1/2 an hour till an hour from now? I'm half asleep though ;) Maybe like 2.30 QLD time at the latest? (which would suck)
  And we might get it later for some reason.. Apparently different carriers allow different optional features (like AT&T won't have MMS till later in the year) so if Apple have to release about 50 or so different 3.0's then we might have to wait due to server times etc... but it's a bloody mess just searching on google, so much confusion.

• To kill time....does anyone know if the OS 3.0 supports saving smses? You can copy/paste, delete individual messages now...but nowhere does it mention that you can "save" messages to your computer to read them on the computer screen later (text, csv, ANSI, etc format)....a feature I miss from my old Nokia. • LPH - this is what it says at the Top: If you’ve been tethered to your Mac since midnight, obsessively pressing the “Check for Update” button in iTunes, you can give it a rest. At least for a few hours. Engadget has deduced that today’s iPhone 3.0 update won’t get pushed out until around 1pm ET.
  
  Its rationale?
  
  Reports that carrier 3 in Hong Kong sent a network-wide SMS notifying iPhone owners that OS 3.0 will be available on June 18th, 01:00 local time. That’s 1pm on the 17th in New York, 6pm in London, and 1900 in central Europe.
