  • Seems us pleb iPod Touch owners are OK for 3G then if we use a program like JoikuSpot on our Nokia smartphone (in my case an E51).

  • Lack of 3G is no problem to me (iPod Touch owner), but lack of green and red button (sky+ remote) functionality etc means I can't watch recorded programs. That is just rubbish. Why £17.99? I paid it coz if it had been as it should be it would have been worth it to get my hands on it, but having splashed out on the SlingBox, the software to use it should be free. Posted by DC, UK
  • Agree with DC, price is silly and lack of basic Sky controls (Red and Green buttons) makes no sense. I also find that :

    - the frame rate for video is a bit poor - doesn't look like 30fps, even with low quality sound setting

    - Up and down page buttons don't work in planner, meaning that you have to go through each channel in the guide. Painful

    - Aspect ratio of the image means that there's always black bars. Certainly not like the screenshots in the app store

    - Favourites buttons are poorly designed

    - No 3G, but you already know that

Don't get me wrong, it's potentially a great product, but just not yet. Here's hoping.

  • Update - Red and Green buttons DO exist, you just have to scroll through a couple of screens of the remote to find them. Still sluggish to navigate, unlike the desktop-based version, but hopefully this will improve. Posted by Bluem000n, England
  • Geez, you can scroll? Thanks for the update I would never have figured that out except perhaps by accident. Not what you'd call good user interface design. Posted by DC, UK
