• I presently have a Nokia N95 & my Vodafone contract is up for renewal. Part of me is really being drawn towards jumping ship to O2 and the iphone, especially now that you can control your Sonos system with it. But what is holding me back is that neither SlingPlayer or Viewranger maps are compatible with the iphone. Having invested heavily in these products over the last 18 months, I cannot afford not to be able to use them. Come on Apple...at least approve Slingplayer as a third party app!!
  
  This N97 though looks the business and judging by the video's I have seen of it, really does look like giving the iphone a run for it's money.
  
  The problem is that this product probably won't be available in the UK until second half of 2009. If it was available now, I'd have no hesitation in renewing my Vodafone contract and upgrading to this, but In today's techno world, circa 6-7 months is a long time & you can bet that Apple won't take this lying down. How long before we see an improved iphone 3G? What do us touch screen wannabees do in the meantime bearing in mind that any mobile contact these day's is a minimum of 18 months?
