Email fraud
Internet and email fraud is big business and unfortunately something that is one of the more horrid sides of the web.
If you are approached by someone on email purporting to be Pocket-lint contacting you out of the blue, it isn't us. We do send emails, but only if you've signed up to receive them, and we will never ask for your details.
We are a news and reviews website, not a shop.
What we will email you about
We send out a number of different emails at Pocket-lint: they are as follows:
email alerts
If you sign up to become a member and then for email alerts we will send you an email when that keyword appears in a story. This email will contain the headline of the news article or review and a link back to Pocket-lint.com
Newsletters
If you sign up to become a member we will send you a daily or weekly newsletter depending on your choice. This will a list of 10 links that tell you what the biggest stories of the day/week are. The email will contain a headline and a link back to Pocket-lint.com.
What we won't email you about
Here are just some of the examples of things that we will never email you about.
Your details
We will never send you an email requesting any details from you. If you get an email asking you for your details, don't reply.
A great deal
We will never email you saying that you've ordered something and we need you to confirm.
An even greater deal
We will also never email you saying we have the deal of the century and you need to get in on the action. To reiterate, we do not sell anything at Pocket-lint.com
