Acer has revealed that two of the products it will be showing at the IFA consumer electronics trade show in Berlin will be available in the UK soon.

The Acer Liquid Leapband, a smartband that Pocket-lint got to see in the flesh during Computex in Taiwan, has a 1-inch touchscreen and is made mostly of rubber for durability. It is hypoallergenic, is designed for both men and women, and can track a user's steps, running distance, calories burned and sleep times. It is waterproof (IPX7) and can control music on a paired smartphone through functions for "play", "pause", "previous" and "next song".

Battery life is claimed to last for up to seven days and it supports Bluetooth 4.0 technology. It will be available in the UK from late September in white, black, green, pink and orange colours.

The Acer Liquid Jade is a 5-inch mid-range smartphone that's only 7.5mm thick. Its screen resolution is HD and is IPS LCD. A 13-megapixel camera can be found on the rear, with a 2-megapixel front-facing cam.

There's a quad-core 1.3GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, while storage space starts at 8GB and is dependent on region.

The phone has a 2,100mAh non-replaceable battery and comes with Android 4.4 KitKat from the box. It is a 3G device, rather than 4G.

Price for the Liquid Jade, which will be available in green, white, black and pink, is yet to be revealed. As is its street date. The Leap, however, will cost £79.99.
