Over the Hedge - DVD

- Serious themes such as consumerism, global warming and obesity are subtly addressed, there are plenty of jokes for adults and ankle-biters alike
- The Bad
- Despite being one of the better animated adventures this year, over the Hedge falls some way short of Shrek or Toy Story, the leaders in the genre, none of the big name voices apart from Nick Nolte make much of an impact
- Verdict
- After recent disappoints such as “The Wild” and “Madagascar” this latest effort from DreamWorks restores some faith in the animal animation genre

- Nice twist on the traditional rom-com formula, Aniston’s finely-toned, and briefly naked, arse, Jon Favreau’s all too brief appearance
- The Bad
- It’s hard to care for a couple who don’t really care for each other, an uncomfortable blend of drama and slapstick, a below-par special features package
- Verdict
- “The Break-Up” makes an admirable attempt to twist the rigid rom-com template, but the mixture of Brat Pack humour and serious drama proves to be an uncomfortable blend
