Clerks 2 - DVD
Smith's back but is Clerks a second stroke of genius or a poor trip down memory lane?
22 February 2007 11:00 GMT
- The Good
- A brilliant Silence of the Lambs parody from Jay & Silent Bob, Dawson is a welcome new face to the regular View Askew team, the spectacularly orchestrated “inter-species erotica” finale is Smith at his finest
- The Bad
- O’Halloran and Anderson simply can’t act, a lazy discussion about the Star Wars movies - which tries to recreate the brilliance of the original’s Death Star sub-contractors debate - just serves to highlight the difference in class between the two films, Smith’s screenplay is beset with trite clichés such as “today is the first day of the rest of our lives”
