- Serious themes such as consumerism, global warming and obesity are subtly addressed, there are plenty of jokes for adults and ankle-biters alike

- Despite being one of the better animated adventures this year, over the Hedge falls some way short of Shrek or Toy Story, the leaders in the genre, none of the big name voices apart from Nick Nolte make much of an impact
- Verdict
- After recent disappoints such as “The Wild” and “Madagascar” this latest effort from DreamWorks restores some faith in the animal animation genre
