The phone in the picture may well be the first Windows Phone 7 handset, according to a xda-developers forum who have deciphered a leaked .cab file from a Windows Phone 7 ROM.
The HTC Mondrian is said to have a 4.3-inch screen with a WVGA resolution. It runs on a Qualcomm QSD8650A/B 1.3GHz Snapdragon processor that supports both GSM and CDMA.
It's apparently got a camera with HD capabilities and at least 5 megapixels. There's also a digital compass on board if the xda forum's analysis proves to be accurate.
HTC has been pretty Android friendly as of late, although historically, it has always been heavily involved with Microsoft's phone operating systems. There's no official news on whether this Mondrian will be the first of its Windows based handsets to launch, but what is sure, is that it'll be a while yet before anything actually goes on sale.
In the meantime, you'll just have to make do with HTC's Android range, including the HTC Wildfire, which we first told you about just a couple of hours ago.
