Palm has released the latest version of its mobile phone operating system for the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi bringing video recording to the phone.
The new OS which rolled out on Saturday should automatically come to all Palm pre handsets in the US, UK, and Europe.
The main focus of the new update will be adding the ability to capture, edit and share video. Users will also get YouTube or Facebook upload support built in and the ability to email or MMS their final footage.
Elsewhere the Calendar, Phone, Messaging, and Email apps have all been enhanced says Palm with new features to simplify common tasks like being able to sort by date, sender, and subject in the email app.
Palm says it has also enhanced notifications with the LED in the gesture area now lighting up and pulsing if you have a notification.
