Amazon MP3 repeats

2 December 2009 9:49 GMT / By Ben Bowers

In the States, Amazon has announced it will be repeating a holiday tradition on its Amazon MP3 store which started last year.

Dubbed "25 Days of Free", every day this month up until Christmas, the online retailer will provide a new Christmas-themed song for visitors to download absolutely free of charge.

Like last year's initiative, each song offered this season has been hand-picked by Amazon MP3's resident editors, and selections will vary from traditional songs performed by modern day artists to previously unheard holiday-themed originals.

The line up will include Tori Amos' "Snow Angel" from her newly released album "Midwinter Graces", as well as Lady Gaga's "Christmas Tree".

Those in the US can visit the specially created 25 days of free area of the mega-retailer's site to download the free tracks and monitor what new songs are released as the month slowly winds towards Christmas day.

Sadly, there is no such scheme running in the UK. Maybe next year...
